Admittedly this is a long overdue review. In a way it's good I delayed this review as it gave me time to settle into the work that was done. What can I say I am thoroughly happy with my experience from the beginning where Arfin came out to assess my needs for covering my home. The great experience just continued on through the actual install and to it's final completion. Back in June I had Arfin and his team come to my house to install a number of Ubiquiti Unifi Cameras, Network Video Recorder and Unifi Network Switch with Wifi Access Points and an Outdoor Wifi Extender. The team was professional, on time, efficient and respected the space with a thorough clean up of the spaces that required work. I especially appreciated the patience and walkthrough Arfin provided post install. He answered all my questions and really took the time to explain how things worked and how the system will help me manage my home. I'm so glad I broke away from those pesky monthly subscription fees by doing a full home security and home internet access point and wired setup. Things are running smoothly which I'm not surprised with Hamilton Tech Source's quality work they did. I had read previous reviews and truly can echo a lot of prior reviewers statements. I know I will use them again for future tech related projects around my home. I'm looking forward to the next project and using Hamilton Tech Source as my go to!

Arfin and Mike installed a bunch of PoE cameras/NVR system that I had purchased (Reolink), in addition to a few miscellaneous jobs around the house (adding ethernet drop, organizing/cleaning up my cabling, concealing some speaker wires in my home theatre). They were amazing to deal with - honest, patient, and committed to customer service in an old school way that is all too rare these days, especially in what seems to be a fly-by-night industry. This made for a stress-free experience: eg. Arfin didn't gouge for small extra jobs added onto the initial estimate. We have an old house that presented some challenges with the install that he patiently worked through. He also patiently answered my myriad questions and provided help over video call after the job was done. Price is very fair for the quality of work offered. They are busy for a reason, I recommend them without hesitation.

How much does security camera installation cost?

Do you install cameras I already purchased?
Send us the camera and recorder models and tell us about your property. We can review compatibility and confirm whether we can install and configure your equipment before you book.
Can I view my cameras from my phone?
Yes. We configure remote viewing and the mobile app for your system. Remote access requires a working internet connection and compatible equipment.
Do you install outdoor security cameras?
Yes. We help select suitable outdoor cameras and plan their positions around entrances, driveways and other areas you want to see.
Do you install cameras for businesses?
Yes. We provide commercial security camera installation, including wiring, recorder setup, network configuration and remote viewing.
How many cameras do I need?
That depends on your property’s layout and what you want to see. We help plan camera positions and recommend a suitable number for your property.
Can you run the camera wiring?
Yes. Camera wiring is part of our complete installation service. We plan cable routes around the building and aim for a clean finish.
Do you provide 24/7 monitoring?
No. Hamilton Tech Source does not provide 24/7 security monitoring. We configure remote access so you can view your own cameras 24/7, subject to power and internet availability.
How is footage recorded?
We configure an NVR, or network video recorder, to store footage from compatible IP cameras. Recording capacity and how long footage is retained depend on the system configuration.
Is there a warranty or monthly fee?
Our existing installation offering includes a two-year warranty on cameras, the NVR and labour, with no monthly service fee for the installed camera system and remote-viewing app. Ask us to confirm what applies to the equipment in your quote.
